A Banded Ironstone Formation

The Helena and Aurora Range is a special place in the Great Western Woodlands. It is situated 100km north of Southern Cross, adjacent to the Mount Manning Nature Reserve. The track to the ranges from Koolyanobbing (60km north of Southern Cross), and the Mt Dimer Track in the Great Western Woodlands are 4WD only and road conditions vary. There are no facilities at the ranges, please take plenty of food and water and take your rubbish out with you – take only photos, leave only footprints. No Pets. Visit www.helenaaurorarange.com.au
