Yorkrakine Hall stands on the traditional lands of the Ballardong Nyoongar People.
Once upon a time this community boasted a school, general store, hall and a wheatbin serving the local farmers of the district. The Agricultural Hall which was constructed in 1926 still remains standing strong, and over the past few years has been renovated allowing functions to continue to be held in the venue. Yorkrakine has a total population of 138 people made up primarily of farming families who have created a very close and caring community.
Festival of Small Halls returns to Yorkrakine on Friday, 9 August 2024 with Jed Parsons (NZ) and Alana Wilkinson (AUS).
